Once upon a dream...

Trees change their leaves, but not their roots. Likewise, a pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity, but an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty

A year ago, I remember that I had been tirelessly chasing a dream, day and night. The chasing journey is not over yet; rather I’m sparing no effort to make that dream come true someday soon! The case is undoubtedly alike with many others who are having the same struggle of making their dream possible. It seems many are leaving no stone unturned striving to succeed in their annual mission impossible of pursuing a dream.

Though the dream-chasing mission is extremely tiring and disappointing, it is a very rewarding learning experience. Along the way, one comes across various challenges and obstacles while heading to achieve his dream. The hard experiences that one goes through to mark a milestone are challenging and stimulating a person to bring the best out of him. Hence, the mission is exhausting, but insightful too. As Walt Disney, once upon a time, advised, “If you can dream it, you can do it”. The equation is as simple as that!

Do you really think that it is possible to get all our dreams come true? Realistically yes, but if we only believe in them deep down in our hearts! Yet that is likely possible if we sincerely work on them so they turn out to be a reality one day. It has been said that you are what you think and you achieve what you believe in. Therefore, if you have faith in your dreams, then definitely you will hold on them and strive to get them the breath of life. Just remember that success comes only to those who believe in their dreams!

Accordingly, the more people believe in their dreams, the easier they become possible and achievable. Hellen Keller said, “Your success and happiness lies in you. Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you shall form an invincible host against difficulties.” Perhaps, some people would assume that what they have is only thoughts or most likely beliefs, which will eventually be shaped as dreams. True it is not all what we think of can be a dream, but dreams always start with just a simple thought.

On the other hand, there are people who do not believe in dreams; they only live their moment and bearing no attention to the so-called “future”. It is good to keep your life simple and smooth, but not to the extent that you do not even bother to plan for what you will do the next day! It is really a shame, but actually, there are people who have no obvious goal in their life. What concerns them more is the way of making a good living and enjoying life. However, one’s life is meaningless without having a goal or a dream that you believe in and fight for.

As Albert Einstein said, “Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than the one with all the facts”. Always the little of persistence results in getting more achievements; whatever looks a failure and disappointment might suddenly turn into a commendable victory. If you have ever thought that you failed in achieving your dreams, change your techniques of doing things, but not your principles.

Trees change their leaves, but not their roots. Likewise, a pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity, but an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. Let us look at the lives of all those who achieved outstanding successes by being committed to their goals and plans. They challenged themselves and brought guidance and enlightenment to humanity overall. Thomas Edison, the inventor of light bulb and other countless inventions, was very committed to succeed even though he failed at least in 700 different projects.
