Agreements signed to construct two fish markets in Adam, Al Mudhaibi

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources on Wednesday signed two agreements with Al Qima Company for Projects to construct two fish markets in the Wilayats of Adam and Al Mudhaibi. The two projects are funded by the Petroleum Development Oman (PDO).


The agreements were signed by Dr Saud Hamoud al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Khalfan Mussalam al Habsi, Chairman of the Board of Al Qima Company for Projects, and Eng Abdul Amir al Ajmi, PDO's External Affairs and Value Creation Director.


As per the agreements, the two markets will be set up on a construction area of 920 square metres for each. The two markets will include 14 fish stalls, with a hall for cutting fish that comprises 7 stalls and waiting hall for the customers. They will also include a cafe, a hall for wholesale auction, cold store and ice production unit. --ONA
