Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) issued alert of heavy thunderstorms that are likely to fall in the coming hours. The rain expected to lash the wilayats of North and South Al Batinah governorate with chances of rain ranging from 30 to 60 mm with occasional thundershowers accompanied by fresh winds and hail stones.

The Civil Aviation Authority advises everyone to exercise caution during rains and the overflow of wadis. All should check the sea state report before sailing and observe updated forecasts, said the CAA.
