Pact on combating money laundering, terrorism funding

MUSCAT: The State Audit Institution (SAI) on Monday signed a cooperation programme with the National Centre for Financial Information to exchange information in the fields of combating money laundering and financing terrorism.


The protocol was signed at SAI headquarters by Ahmed Salim Al Rujeibi, SAI Deputy Chairman of Audit in the State Administrative Apparatus, and Lt Col Abdulrahman Amer al Kiyumi, CEO of the National Centre for Financial Information.


This step aims to achieve joint cooperation and governance of information exchange to serve the common interest of SAI and the centre in combating money laundering, corruption and financing terrorism. - ONA
