NIZWA: The Department of Private Schools for the Directorate of Education in Al Dakhiliyah has organised a meeting with the Labour Department of Al Dakhiliyah, within the framework of the existing cooperation between the two departments.

The meeting was attended by Amal bint Khalfan al Shukri, Director of the Private Schools Department, and representatives of the two departments.

The director said that such meetings are important as they help resolve issues and difficulties with regard to employment and appointments in private schools. It also gives the opportunity for the representatives of the Labour Department to familiarise themselves with the frameworks and mechanisms used in appointments.

Badr bin Hilal al Abri, a second supervisory specialist in the Private Schools Department, presented a working paper entitled Appointment Procedures in Private Schools in accordance with the procedures followed in the Ministry after receiving the initial approval for the appointment of teaching staff.

He talked about the jobs that are assigned directly by the Labour Department without referring to the Department of Private Schools in the governorate. Then he gave the introduction of the latest developments in the labour law and contracts related to private schools, with the development of proposals for topics submitted by the Labour Department.

The Labour Department of Al Dakhiliyah participated with presenting a working paper in the second programme of the Private Schools Forum for owners, and principals of private schools.

The meeting concluded with a discussion on finding employment solutions in private schools through the data of job seekers in the Labour Department.
