Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) issued a violation against two hotel establishments for not following precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Covid-19.

MHT said the violation was reported against the Muscat Intercontinental Hotel for not following the principle of social distancing at Trader Vic's restaurant.

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism also issued a violation against the Ramee Guestline Hotel for the same reason.

The Ministry alerted all hotel and tourist establishments to the importance of adhering to the precautionary measures to prevent (Covid19) and to avoid taking legal measures that may reach the closure of the hotel establishment.

It ordered all establishments to reduce the number of visitors in restaurants, meeting and banquet halls, and the rest of the other facilities to 50 percent of the total capacity.

Visitors and employees must stick to preventive measures such as wearing a mask in all facilities, maintaining social distance, and other preventive measures to avoid any legal actions that may lead to the closure of the facility.
