Muscat: The Wilayat of Qurayat, a destination that attracted history-lovers from across the globe in the Governorate of Muscat, will soon be home for a state-of-the-art hotel project aiming to cater to the increasing number of tourists.

Located in Bimmah, this ambitious tourism project overlooking the sea with 80 hotel suites with a private pool and all advanced amenities will mark a milestone in the tourism map of the Sultanate of Oman once it is operational in the next two years.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed between Al Fayhaa United Real Estate Development and Radisson International Group for the operation in the presence of Ridha bin Juma al Saleh, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI); and Shaikh Saud bin Hamed al Tai, Chairman of Al Fayha United Development Company.

Speaking to the Observer on the sidelines of the signing ceremony, OCCI chairman said that the project is part of the Vision 2040 Oman and one of the pillars of the longer national vision is tourism.

“This is a major tourist hotel apartment project which comes under the Vision 2040 and we are expecting it to be complete in two years. This is one of the classic examples of how the private sector can support the government in achieving the national goals and will be a great value addition to the ambitious tourism plans. Tourists from across the

world will be able to visit the tourist attractions here comfortably once the hotel is operational,” he said.

“With this project and other tourism projects, we are expecting the revenues from tourism to grow from RO 3 million to 12 million,” said the OCCI chairman.
