Sultanate of Oman sees 12.7% growth in 2021

Muscat: As a result of economic stimulus and economic diversification efforts, the Omani economy continues its growth trend recording a 12.7 percent growth by the end of the third quarter of 2021.


The manufacturing industries recorded the highest growth rate this year of 25.8 percent


It may be noted the economy had registered a negative growth of 16.5 percent at the end of the third quarter of 2020.


The growth rate of total non-oil activities was 7.8 percent, contributing 17.6 billion to the GDP.


The growth rate of total oil activities was 26.5 percent, contributing 7.4 billion to the GDP.
