

Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority issued a new circular on the travel between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates to all airline operators as per the Civil Aviation Law.
The circular stated that the citizens of the Sultanate of Oman and the UAE when travelling between the two countries will be required to register in emushrif.om by uploading the Covid-19 vaccination certificate and a negative result of Covid-19 PCR test conducted within 14 days prior to the scheduled time of arrival in the Sultanate of Oman.
The other conditions include that aircraft operators shall verify that any passenger travelling to the Sultanate of Oman has met the requirements. Air operators shall notify the passengers, prior to arrival, to prepare their documents for verification by the immigration and upon request by the airport’s staff.
Aircraft operators shall be fined in the event of carrying a passenger who has not met the travel requirements to the Sultanate of Oman.
For other travellers, if vaccinated, will have to present a negative result of the PCR test, or a reservation for Covid-19 PCR test upon arrival to the Sultanate of Oman. Registration in the emushrif.om is mandatory.
If not vaccinated, a negative result of PCR test must be provided, reservation for PCR test upon arrival to the Sultanate of Oman and confirmed reservation of institutional quarantine except for Omanis and other categories excluded from the institutional quarantine.
