Shura secretary-general receives ambassador of Hungary

Muscat: Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Nadabi, Secretary-General of Majlis Ash’shura, received Dr Tibor Szatmári, Ambassador of Hungary to the Sultanate of Oman, at the premises of Majlis Ash’shura, on Sunday.


Al Nadabi commended the developed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.


The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and Hungary in various fields, especially those related to legislation. It also discussed the visit of László Kövér, Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary to the Sultanate of Oman during the upcoming period.


During the meeting, Al Nadabi gave an explanation to the ambassador about the march of Majlis Ash’shura and its legislative development especially with the issuance of the Basic Law and the Law of the Council of Oman. He also spoke about the role played by Majlis Ash’shura through its office, standing committees and the General Secretariat to realize its roles and exercising its purviews.


The ambassador praised the development witnessed by the Sultanate of Oman in all fields under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, looking forward to the relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Hungary witnessing further progress and prosperity.
