MUSCAT: As part of Manar Alizz initiative, Alizz Islamic Bank, represented by the Shari’a Compliance and Audit Department and the learning and Development Department, welcomed a group of postgraduate students from the College of Shari’a Sciences to learn about the bank’s Islamic banking activities. This is part of a larger program to spread awareness about Islamic finance and its developmental role, while highlighting the role of Islamic banks in driving sustainable economy and providing researchers and scholars with important knowledge on Islamic economy in general and the Omani experience in this sector.

During the visit, Issa al Riyami, Head of Shari’a Audit and Compliance at Alizz Islamic Bank delivered a presentation to highlight key differentiators between conventional and Islamic banking.
