

Muscat: A rear-guard impressive century by Mohd Imran Latif, who scored 107 off 123 balls, helped ARTT [Arabian Region Travel & Tourism] to beat IAS [Ibn Abdul Samad Eng & Cons] by 24 runs in the Premier Division match of the Oman Cricket League at the Oman Cricket Ground in Al Amerat on Friday.
After being put into bat by IAS, ARTT started off badly, losing their first four batsmen with only 35 on the board. But Mohd Imran Latif had other plans, as he guided his team to safety, and scoring the century, with five hits to the fence and six maximums. Adeel Abbas gave him good company, scoring 59 runs. Haythim Bahar Ali chipped in with three wickets for IAS.
In reply, IAS never looked threatening, ultimately folding up for 219 in 46.3 overs. Hammad Mirza was the top-scorer with 42 runs off 47 balls, studded with five boundaries. Muhammed Moshin Quresh and Abid Ali picked up two wickets for ARTT.

In another Division A match of the Oman Cricket League played on Friday, Al Jadidi Stars brushed aside Sarco LLC by 4 wickets.
Put into bat after Al Jadidi Stars won the toss, Sarco LLC scored 213 before being bundled out in 48.3 overs. Rangajeeva Perera was the highest scorer with 45 runs, including three boundaries, while Zahid Hafiz [41] and Murad Khan [37] made significant contributions. Parameswaran Shankar was the best bowler for Al Jadidi Stars, picking up three wickets for 32.
Al Jadidi Stars, in reply, started strong with Nishanth Meethalveedu scoring 52 off 41 balls, studded with six boundaries and two sixes. Ali Muhammed was the highest scorer for Al Jadidi, scoring 76 in 83 balls leading the team closer to the target in 41.2 overs. Nazish Mohammad was the leading wicket taker for Sarco with three wickets for 35.
