Winter tourism is slowly picking up in the Sultanate of Oman. Domestic and international tourists are seen visiting various outdoor locations.

The country's salubrious climate supports this phenomenon, which is to get a fillip during the extended weekend due to the National Day holiday starting from Friday.

The Sultanate of Oman is a great place during the winter season that attract many foreign visitors also.

" The Sultanate of Oman is a perfect destination to plan your holiday throughout the year. Our visitors are mainly from Europe/India/China & the Gulf region, especially from October to April to enjoy the beaches as well as the mountains. The Sultanate of Oman is the preferred destination among the couples who are looking for destination wedding options," says Sunil D'Souza, Chief Executive Officer, TravelPoint LLC.

One of the significant advantages of visiting the Sultanate of Oman during the winter is its natural locations with majestic mountains and serene, unspoiled beaches.

Small towns and villages have preserved the country's traditions, culture and heritage. "Travel market is slowly and steadily gaining its ground as the government of the Sultanate of Oman has relaxed travel restrictions," said Venkat, a travel expert.

This has been further augmented as various corporates have started mobilising their workforces to support their ongoing projects and also looking to capitalise on the upcoming market opportunities.

"What can be understood from the statistics and reports from across the globe, Oman's domestic tourism will be the first sector that makes a major leap in the post-covid era while other sectors will follow the local tourism surge," Renee Johnson, a travel and tourism expert told the Observer.
