The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, represented by Leadership Preparation Centre, concluded the Secretaries-General workshop on Tuesday. As many as 30 clubs took part in the forum which comes out with a number of recommendations to activate the role of clubs in the community.
During the forum, many discussions took place including the role of clubs and the civil teams for the national campaign during Shaheen Cyclone. The initiatives to develop the clubs’ relations with the community were brainstormed. The forum recommended to contribute to the promotion and development of sports and community aspects and the role of the club in community service.
Also, the event recorded many interventions, discussions and open dialogues during the two days, where it discussed the common challenges and difficulties between the sectors of the ministry and the public-private bodies in the sports field, in addition to discussing modern methods and ways of communication between clubs and the community and presenting international and local experiences on the relationship of clubs with society and the roles of clubs.
The most prominent outputs of this forum were the emphasis on the importance of activating the roles of clubs in accordance with Oman Vision 2040.
The forum discussed finding solutions to some aspects related to clubs and the sectors of the ministry and coming up with a number of initiatives to develop the relationship between clubs and society and to identify the aspects required by boards of directors. A number of initiatives and ideas were presented by the secretaries of the clubs before the conclusion of the forum, which serve some aspects in activating the club and its importance in the community.
At the end, Khalifa bin Saif al Isaei, Adviser of Sporting Bodies in the Office of Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports and Youth, delivered the certificates to all the participants.
