A marketing exhibition was held at the Grand Mall in Nizwa on Tuesday under the auspices of Shaikh Hilal bin Said al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah.
The exhibition included a group of successful projects financed by the Oman Development Bank (ODB), Nizwa branch. The projects reflect the success stories of investors to others and provide them with the opportunity to exchange experiences, benefit from each other’s experiences, and encourage Omani youth to move towards entrepreneurship.
Said bin Muslim Ambusaidi, Director of the Oman Development Bank, Nizwa Branch, said: “The exhibition which includes about 20 participants from various sectors such as industrial sector, tourism sector, educational sector, in addition to professional projects. We held the exhibition with the aim of introducing the projects to people and the most important products that exist in the projects in Al Dakhiliyah. In addition to exchanging experiences with each other and with the public by telling their success stories.”
The projects included in the exhibition varied.
There are projects to produce meat, production of rose water, olive oil and aromatic, an institution for the production of electrical control panels, the manufacture of Omani halwa, production of plastic pipes and containers UPVC, produce green houses, manufacture of cosmetics, tour carts, guest houses, cup factory, date factory, grain mill, design on screens glass factory, poultry farming, marble factory, timber factory and others.
The exhibition also included providing economic and financial advice to the participants and the public and also a marketing corner for ODB.
In the exhibition Omran al Hadidi, who opened his business selling coffee supplies and equipment and produced his own coffee, said how he began his business online and plans to start opening his own store soon.
Among the participating projects are The Idea Design Company, which provides interior and exterior design services and garden design.
Eng Omaima al Shukaili from The Idea Design Company, Nizwa branch, said: “The exhibition opened the opportunity to display and highlight our work to the public. The company is owned by Said al Rashidi, and Eng Saud al Ishaqi with him. He hires six engineers working with him in the company and opened three different branches for his company.”
