Muscat: Based on the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the State Council on Sunday opened the third annual sitting of its 7th Term.
The session was held under the chairmanship of Shaikh Abdulmalik Abdullah al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council.
The Council endorsed a study presented by the Education and Research Committee on "The Reality of Research in the Sultanate of Oman and the Role of Public and Private Sectors and Global Firms in Supporting Research”.
The members of the State Council affirmed that the study fits with Oman Vision 2040 and its different strategies.
It reflects the vision’s role in creating mechanisms aimed at enabling public and private sectors and global firms to effectively contribute to enhancing research efforts in Oman. --ONA
