Oman Flour Mills Company has launched the flour made of the wheat grown in a number of governorates as part of its efforts to promote local agricultural products and encourage Omani farmers to contribute in national food security mission, which will help to minimize imports.

Halima bint Mubarak al Kalbania, responsible for marketing the company's Al-Bur flour, said, "The launch of this product will encourage farmers to grow wheat and market and sell their products as per the best standards and specifications."

She said the company will market the product locally and explore the possibility of exports.

Oman Flour Mills Company purchased 325 tonnes of wheat for the 2021 season at a rate of RO500 per tonne.
