Muscat, Nov 6

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has said the work on 22 housing units at the Hai al Naseem neighbourhood in Barka, which is part of the ‘Sorouh’ initiative is in its advanced stages.

The residential units will be offered up for sale to Omani citizens who are on the ministry’s waiting list for government plots. Those who have applied for a plot in Batinah South and Muscat Governorates will get guaranteed options to buy these homes.

If the demand is less than anticipated, the project could be opened up for citizens from other locations. In a statement, the officials said that the project is expected to be fully completed in 2027.

Coming up on a 350,000 sqm plot of government land at Barka, Hai al Naseem is a mixed-use development offering a wide array of residential units surrounded by integrated facilities like shops, recreational services, public parks, and community amenities.

Residential options on offer include 132 semi-independent villas (3-5 BHK), 320 apartments (3-4 BHK), 120 stand alone villas (3-5 BHK), and 479 townhouses (3-4 BHK).
