Emad clinches gold medal at IFBB World Bodybuilding & Fitness Meet

Oman’s bodybuilder Emad bin Abdulhameed al Balushi impressed at the IFBB World Bodybuilding & Fitness Championships which is ongoing in Santa Susanna city in Spain.


Al Balushi managed to clinch gold medal in his debut at the Beginner Men’s Physique, as he registered six points, while Andrea Stellari from Italy was placed as runner up (11 points) and Simao Ribeiro IFBB Flag (B) was positioned in third place (16 points). In Men’s Physique up to 173 cm, Emad al Balushi finished in the fifth place.


The top bodybuilding and fitness global event witnessed the participation of 1,200 bodybuilders representing 72 countries. Asaad al Mabsali finished in the fifth position at Men’s Physique up to 170 cm. In the same category which featured participation of 22 participants, Khalid al Ghafri finished in the seventh position. Yahya al Kiyumi ended his show in the fourth place at Men’s Physique up to 176 cm. Muhannad al Mawali was placed in fourth place at Men’s Physique over 182 cm. Mazin al Lamki took part in the Men’s Physique from 16-20 years and he ended in fifth place.


The championship in Spain featured all the events including Men’s & Women’s Categories (Junior, Senior and Master). Oman Bodybuilding Committee (OBC) Secretary-General, Said al Rahbi, was head of the delegation. Nasser al Maskari was the administrative and Mohammed al Siyabi was the head coach of the national team. As many as 16 bodybuilders from Oman took part in the event.
