Oman's Duqm Refinery project 87% complete

Engineer Yousef bin Mohammad Al Jahdami, General Manager, Duqm Refinery, said that the completion rate of the refinery project is 87 percent, and will be fully ready by the first quarter of 2023.


In a statement to Oman News Agency, he said that until the end of September, 477,451 cubic meters of concrete and 70,788 tons of steel bases were used in the refinery project, while the total workforce reached 17,954.


Following the start of its operations, Duqm Refinery will raise the refining capacity of the Sultanate, enhance the economic returns of the Sultanate's resources and petroleum products, and contribute to stimulating the establishment of various economic projects in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm.
