Well-known Omani construction firm Galfar Engineering and Contracting SAOG has announced that it has been awarded a contract valued at RO 9 million for the reinstatement and rehabilitation of the Batinah Highway, parts of which were damaged in flooding triggered by Tropical Cyclone Shaheen recently.
The client is the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MCTIT).
An official said in a filing to the Capital Market Authority (CMA) that the contract was part of national efforts spearheaded by the government to restore and rehabilitate infrastructure damaged by the storm in the North and South Al Batinah governorates.
