MUSCAT: Building on the resounding success of its ongoing prize draws where customers across Oman continue to win valuable cash prizes, Maisarah Islamic Banking Services – BankDhofar’s Islamic banking window - has unveiled special draws as part of the Prize Account scheme.
With a total prize amount of RO 52,800 for 68 winners, special draws will be held in December for healthcare professionals, teachers, retirees, Ministry of Defence and Royal Oman Police employees, as well as new Maisarah customers and existing customers with new credit cards.
Elaborating on the special draws, Nasser Said Al Bahantah, Maisarah’s Chief Retail Banking Officer, said: “We have seen a surge in the number of savers among Maisarah’s customers since the introduction of the Prize Account - which does not only promote the culture of adequate financial management by encouraging people to save, but also rewards them for it through proper tools that are designed to meet their respective requirements. In addition to their eligibility to win valuable cash prizes in the special draws, eligible customers also have the chance to win more cash prizes in weekly, monthly and year-end draws.”
As per the Special Draws guidelines, 10 healthcare professionals, 10 teachers and 10 members of the Ministry of Defence and Royal Oman Police will receive RO 1,100 each (one winner per branch in each group) with a total prize value of RO 33,000. Moreover, eight winners will receive RO 600 each in the draw exclusive for retirees, with the total prize value of RO 4,800.
“And as a welcome gesture to the new customers, 20 holders of new accounts will be given valuable cash prizes of RO 500 each, two winners will be chosen from each Maisarah branch who opened Prize Account in the last 3 months. And to further enrich their experience, customers who request a new credit card will also get the chance to win RO 500 each where 10 customers will be selected, one customer per branch who avails a credit card in the last 3 months,” noted Al Bahantah.
To be eligible to win as part of Maisarah Prize Account scheme, customers need to maintain a minimum balance of RO 100 in their accounts for 30 days. For every RO 100 balance, they get one chance to win, so the more they save, the greater their chances of winning.
