Khedmah launches new mobile tap machines

MUSCAT: Seeking to expand its digital platforms and committed to diversify its unique services and expand its reach, Oman Investment & Finance Co (Khedmah), recently released Mobile Tap Machines. This will be their new addition to a wide array of digital payment methods.


These portable machines will be placed in selected areas across the Sultanate based on customers’ needs.


The new machines are easy to transfer from one place to another providing greater flexibility to attend for customers’ needs in their suited areas. Through these machines, Khedmah can be present in various events and activities to serve its valued customers.


With the addition of the new machines, Khedmah network now boasts 68 branches and 56 kiosks across the Sultanate. Through these channels and other digital platforms such as the website and Khedmah mobile app, clients can easily pay their electricity, water and telecommunications bills, recharge phone and electricity prepaid meter.


“The launch of Mobile Tap Machines resonates with the company’s vision of providing high-end and easily accessible services to community members. The placement of these machine across the Sultanate is based on several factors, such as population density, changing competition factors, and urban development. Due to its relocation flexibility, the company can meet the changing requirements of the market. Khedmah constantly seeks to leverage innovation and uplift its digital network in particular to contribute to the national priorities that aims to achieve digital transformation and financial inclusion, ultimately creating a sustainable and digital economy,” said Adil bin Abbas Al Balushi, senior mManager of Infrastructure at OIFC.


Over the past period, Khedmah’s branches and digital channels saw a strategic development in terms of expansion and new innovative services. These achievements came as a result of extensive studies conducted by the company on the locations of branches, market developments, and the level of customer satisfaction with the services delivered. This allowed OIFC to acquire insights and determine what is desired by consumers, and thus provide tailor-made services to them that meet their aspirations.


Khedmah mobile app also seen a huge demand as the number of downloads surpassed half a million. This is due to its smart and easy solutions that saves time, efforts and money.


OIFC is one of the leading Investment and Services Company and specialises in billing, collection & debt factoring for electricity, water and telecom services in the Sultanate of Oman. The company’s various branches and e-payment channels allow customers to easily pay their electricity, water and telecommunications bills, recharge phone, electricity prepaid meter bills, entertainment recharge as well as making payment to the Public Authority for Social Insurance (PASI).
