Squadron Leader Fatima al Mantheriyah was piloting one of four helicopters heading to North Al Batinah from Muscat as the tropical condition Shaheen passed the governorates of North and South Al Batinah. Speaking on the eve of the Omani Women's Day, Al Mantheriya said: “We set off at 4 am on October 4 from Muscat after the tropical condition passed the city. The weather was fine but after we crossed Barkah there was heavy rain and the closer we got to the affected wilayats the rain became extremely heavy. At the end all four helicopters landed peacefully in the wilayats of Al Suwaiq and Al Kaboura."
