The MOH team will carry out a field survey in North and South al Batinah governorates., which were affected by the cyclone Shaheen. It urged citizens and residents in the affected wilayats to cooperate with the field team.

"The survey aims to assess potential risks that may threaten public health and to develop the necessary interventions to reduce the spread of infectious diseases. The team will also focus on entomological investigation using traps to know the type and density of mosquitoes that transmit diseases, as well as active investigation of suspected cases (fever, rash, pulmonary and intestinal symptoms)," the official statement said.

Meanwhile, the power supply has been restored by 98 percent in North Batinah, water supply, telecom, fuel supply (all 100 percent), road network (92 to 98 percent) and waste management (85 percent), the National Committee for Emergency Management said.
