Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) announced that the Crescent of the month of Rabee Al Awwal 1443 AH has not been sighted on Wednesday evening, Safar 29,1443 AH, correspondent to October 6. Therefore, Thursday will be the complementary to the month of Safar, corresponding to October7.
Accordingly, the first day of Rabee Al Awwal 1443 AH will be on Friday, corresponding to October 9, and the Prophet’s birthday, therefore, will fall on Tuesday, October 19.
