Muscat: Due to the tropical condition expected to affect the Sultanate, Sunday and Monday has been declared as an official holiday for employees working in the state administrative establishments and the private sector.


Employees in the governorates of Al Wusta and Dhofar are excluded from the decision.


"This Sunday and Monday, October 3 and 4, is an official holiday for employees in units of the state’s administrative apparatus and other legal persons and workers in private sector establishments, except for the governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta, due to the exceptional climatic conditions that the Sultanate is witnessing," a statement from the Oman News Agency said.
