

MUSCAT: As many as 2,896,271 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in Oman with at least the first jab since launching the National Immunization Campaign in December 2020 till Sunday September 26, reaching 82% of the target segment.
The number of those who received two jabs of Covid-19 vaccine stood at 2,050,716 comprising 58%.
The total number of administered doses stood at 4,946,987.
The Ministry of Health continues vaccinating the target segments against Covid-19 in all governorates of the Sultanate as vaccination centers witness a good daily turnout.
88 NEW CASES
Meanwhile, 34 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) were registered in the Sultanate during the past 24 hours, in addition to zero new Covid-19-related deaths.
This brings the total number of positive Covid-19 cases to 303,673. The total number of Covid-19-related death cases reached 4,095.
The ministry added that 390 new cases have recovered, bringing the total number to 296,917 recoveries.
The ministry also pointed out that 6 cases were hospitalized over the past 24 hours, as the total number of current hospitalized Covid-19-infected patients stands at 43 of them 22 are in intensive care units. -- ONA
