MUSCAT: The Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) has launched a new 360-degree digital tour of the Opera House and House of Musical Arts on the occasion of world tourism day, featuring members of the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra and the First Royal Band for Music and Folklore.

With stunning footage from the main areas, the opera house has created an exciting new way to explore the world class performance space housed within the incredible buildings and beautiful architecture.

Heralded in the region as a beacon of cultural exchange and admired worldwide for its national identity and artistic integrity, the Royal Opera House Muscat is a very special place to visit.

The virtual tour will open the opera house to a host of new eyes across the world. Everyone is invited to take a glimpse through the doors, up the stairs, along the red carpet and into the magic of the auditorium of both the Royal Opera House Muscat and the House of Musical Arts, taking in the splendour, design details and inspiring artistry on the way.

The experience of exploring the interior is now accessible to people who may not have been inside the opera house before, those who may never had the chance to visit and to those who are planning to travel to Oman. The new 360-degree tour will complement the existing guided tours which have been running successfully at the opera house since it opened in 2011.

Omani musicians accompany the tour with soft classical music as each image offers the chance to explore the space through 360, enabling a wonderful immersive voyage of discovery. Each tour features cameo performances from members of the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra and the First Royal Band for Music & Folklore.

The 360-degree tour reflects the ROHM's policy to embrace new technologies in the development of this wonderful cultural asset, so that anyone, anywhere can enjoy the opera house. -- ONA
