MUSCAT: Virtual Reality (VR) gaming is a video game played on virtual reality hardware. The VR is where a person can experience being in a three-dimensional environment and interact with that environment during a game.
Topping other types of games, the VR are widely trending among youth, at the present time.
In a statement to ONA, Issa bin Mohammad al Hudaifi, an entrepreneur, said, “The first of its kind virtual reality games project is launched in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi in North Al Sharqiyah.
The idea of establishing a virtual reality project in the wilayat came after a series of decisions and ideas that support the revitalization of the commercial and entertainment side”.
“The project includes an interactive screen with balls, remote control cars and virtual football for children, in addition to 256 virtual reality films, 140 5D cinema films and 27 interactive films designed for shooting for adults”, he added.
He pointed out that hologram technology, which depends on optical patterns in image formation, 5D cinema, and virtual reality, will be introduced, in the future. Among other future plans is the development of the site to become more suitable for the nature of the game and more attractive to the target audience.
To be included in various educational institutions such as schools and universities is among objectives set by the competent body.
