Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MCIIP) on Tuesday signed an agreement with the GCC Standardization Organization to develop the issuance of energy efficiency labels.
The agreement aims to organize the process of controlling the competency requirements and standards for the issuance of these labels, launch its own electronic platform, use the system for appointing conformity assessment bodies and receive appointment requests from conformity assessment bodies. --ONA
