Sports psychology course concludes

NIZWA: A three-day sports psychology course at Nizwa Sports Complex was recently concluded.


The closing ceremony was under the auspices of Ahmed bin Mohammed al Harasi, Director of Culture, Sports and Youth Department in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.


Thirty-two participants from various clubs in the Governorate of Al Dakhiliyah, the military authorities, universities, colleges in the governorate, took part in the course.


The course was presented by Dr Khaled bin Abbas al Yarubi, a psychologist at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, and a former national player.


The course dealt with a number of aspects, the most important of which is strengthening the psychological aspect of coaches, how to deal with players, how to prepare a plan from the coach, leadership, motivation mental strength of coaches and players.


As for the practical aspect, the session dealt with solving most of the problems that players encounter on and off the field. All participants interacted with the course presenter to solve these problems in the future.


And finally, feedback of the participants was taken to measure the extent to which they benefited from the course.


Ahmed bin Mohammed al Harassi awarded the participants certificates for taking part in the course, wishing them continued success and hoped more such courses would be held at the Nizwa Sports Complex.
