Entrepreneur Mahmoud al Shandoudi, the co-founder of Vonza London, which specialises in skincare products, aspires to launch the largest electronic platform for skincare products (vonza.om), hair, dental and beauty products in the Sultanate of Oman by the end of this year in the form of an application for ISO and Android phones.

The founders of the company were inspired by the idea of launching “Fonza London”, a trademark registered with Sorouh Al Dar International, during their scholarship in Glasgow, Scotland, in the United Kingdom, after trying a vitamin serum from the mother company Fonza in London, and achieved good results. Some friends in the Sultanate wanted to try this product for its visible results on the skin.

Al Shandoudi adds: There were many requests for the company’s products, which prompted me and my partners to display the products on a special account on Instagram, and then market it for an amount not exceeding RO 30.

Al Shandoudi says, the project started small, but with determination, the team continued to promote Fonza products through social media platforms, and with the help of “Social Media” celebrities, which made the difference in the demand for products.

He explained that after hard work, the market value of the company exceeded RO 70,000. The company succeeded in opening 12 branches in 10 wilayats across the Sultanate and registered one of the products with the Ministry of Health. Al Shandoudi indicated that the company provides a free consultation service under the supervision of a specialised pharmacist, to help customers choose the right products for them, and to treat their skin problems, using environmentally friendly products.

We have faced many difficulties. Shipping products from London to Oman during the last period wasn’t easy due to the decrease in the number of flights between the two countries resulting from the conditions of the Covid-19 epidemic, as well as the high shipping prices for the same reason.

The most important products of the “Fonza London” company are the vitamin C serum, which consists of five essential ingredients to nourish the skin and its distinctive packaging that prevents the oxidation of the contents of the package for a long time. The current trend is to provide specialised products to treat common problems in the Sultanate, such as acne, pigmentation and facial lines.

Al Shandoudi explained that after work and persistence to reach success and excellence, Fonza London achieved great success in opening 16 branches in 12 wilayats in the various governorates of the Sultanate.

Saeed al Shandoudi, a partner, confirms that the “Fonza London” company continues to expand its branches in the Sultanate and in the Arab Gulf countries and develop its products and services to be the leading company in the Sultanate specialised in the field of skincare and cosmetics.
