In line with the goals of Oman Vision 2040 to meet sustainable development, Eng. Omar bin Khalfan Al Wahaibi, CEO of Nama Group, and Dr. Abdullah bin Ali al Omari, President of the Environment Authority (EA) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on the National Initiative to plant ten million trees.

The two institutions seek to achieve national goals in enhancing and preserving environmental resources through the cultivation of wild plants, increasing the green area, combating desertification, and efficient resource management.

The initiative launched today will continue for five years until September 2026.

Oman Water & Wastewater Services Company (OWWSC) will contribute to providing quantities of treated water from its sewage stations.

The Environment Authority planted 1,200 mangrove seedlings in Khor Ghawi in the Al Wusta Governorate.
