Muscat: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, Dr Rahma Ibrahim al Mahrooqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation will patronize over the 31st batch graduation ceremony of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), scheduled to take place at the end of next month.

The two-day ceremony will be held for the first time ever via video-conferencing in a live stream from the grand hall of SQU’s Cultural Centre. The total number of graduates this year stood at 2,956, comprising holders of bachelor, diploma and postgraduate degrees.

All other possible options for the graduation ceremony were taken into consideration with a close follow-up to indicators of the epidemiological situation to cope with directives of the Covid-19 Supreme Committee. This stems from the keenness of SQU Administration to ensure the safety of all graduates. --ONA
