

MUSCAT: Lt Gen Hamad Mohammed Thani al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces, and his delegation on Tuesday visited the Military Technological College (MTC).
Upon the guest’s arrival, he was received by Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), as well as the Dean of the college and several senior officers from the college.
Members of the visiting delegation were briefed on the college’s education and service facilities, in addition to its general curriculum, technical specialisations and the various educational levels. They also toured several departments and training workshops in the college.
Lt Gen Hamad Mohammed Thani al Rumaithi and his delegation also visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC).
During the visit, the UAE military official was accompanied by Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF).
Upon their arrival at the MSC, they were received by Commodore Tarik Issa al Raisi, Acting Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) and Commodore Mohammed bin Hamoud al Zadjali, Head of the MSC. The guest toured the center’s facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies.
He was also briefed on the tactical roles and tasks carried out by the center within its national duties, as it coordinates with relevant authorities in search and rescue missions and the safety of the maritime environment. Later, Lt General Hamad Mohammed Thani al Rumaithi and his delegation left the Sultanate after an official several-day visit. The guest was seen off at Al Seeb Air Base by Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), and UAE’s Ambassador to the Sultanate. — ONA
