Muscat: The Follow-up Unit for the Implementation of Oman Vision 2040 has issued its annual report of the sectors that are key to promoting economic diversification and projects under the Tanfeedh program”, which was launched in 2016.

The annual report released on Monday said that the labour market and employment is one of the key sectors and the main objectives have been been to provide part-time work opportunities in the private sector for Omani employees and job seekers.

It also seeks to enhance the flexibility of non-Omani workforce movement among establishments registered under the same entity. "There are plans to allow the recruitment of non-Omani workforce with temporary licenses in some specialized professions," the report said.

In 2020, the initiative aimed to activate the electronic systems, and conduct a comprehensive study on the decisions and policies that have been adopted and implemented, as well as focusing on the media and awareness aspect of the initiative.
