MUSCAT: Construction work on water networks in the wilayat of Sur worth RO1 million will begin on September 1, Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company (OWWSC) said in a statement.
Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company will commence the preliminary work of the project and amounting to RO 1,857,860, a statement said.
Engineer Badr bin Salem al Rabani said the construction work will take 18 months and it will support the water distribution networks in various regions in Sur as part of the company's plans to provide improve water supply.
He said high-density polyethylene pipes will be used that conform with latest local and international specifications in the field of water network construction.
