Muscat: Lieutenant-Colonel Sulaiman bin Saeed al Jabri, director of operations at the Dhofar Governorate Command, says that police have activated control points in the wilayats of Thumrait, Hasik, and the Harit area to regulate the entry of citizens and residents into the governorate.

He added that only vaccinated tourists are requested to enter the governorate according to the decisions of the Supreme Committee.

Al Jabri said there have been issues such as the gathering of a large number of motorcyclists in residential neighborhoods and rural areas, and some of them drifting their vehicles and indulging in vandalism on the grass.

ROP said it has been taking all preventive measures to regulate traffic on roads leading to tourist sites and urged the public not to gather and crowd.
