Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT) issued a violation against a hotel establishment in the capital for violations of the Supreme Committee's decisions.
The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism issued a violation against the Ibis Hotel Al Khuwair for non-compliance with the decisions of the Supreme Committee related institutional quarantine.
MHT stressed all hotel and tourist establishments must follow precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 to avoid legal liability.
The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has issued fresh guidelines for hotels and tourism establishments.
The use of hotel facilities is limited to in-house guests during the lockdown period.
Hotel establishments must adhere to preventive measures and not exceed 50 percent of their capacity.
Establishments located in Musandam Governorate will be excluded from the closure decision.
Employees working in hotel establishments can obtain permits from their workplace to pass during the closure period.
Hotel and tourism establishments located in the Governorate of Dhofar must adhere to the preventive measures and not exceed 50 percent of their room occupancy.
Institutional quarantine.
When arriving in Oman from any country, travelers will be required to undergo another PCR test at Oman Airports, however prior to arrival:
1- Pre-book for the PCR test through the Sahala platform https://covid19.emushrif.om/traveler/travel,
3- Book a hotel for institutional quarantine through the Sahala platform for non-Omani arrivals.
4- Download (Tarrasud+) application.
5- After taking the test upon your arrival you must quarantine for seven days, and wear Tarrasud+ bracelet.
6- The test results will be available within 24 hours
7- After quarantining for 7 days, you are required to take a new PCR test on the eighth day, if the test result is negative the quarantine period will end you can remove the Tarrasud+ bracelet in the public health center or a private health institution.
8- The test report can be viewed and printed electronically on https://covid19.emushrif.om
