

The international governing body of football, FIFA, announced that the draw of Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup Russia 2021 will take place on Thursday in Zurich city in Switzerland.
The Sultanate beach soccer team, United Arab Emirates and favorites Japan are the representatives of Asia and awaiting the results of the draw ahead of the showpiece tournament which will be held from August 19 to 29 in Russia.
With less than 47 days to go, the national beach soccer team is undergoing an intensive preparatory plan to shape players readiness for the forthcoming top assignment.
After completion of the International beach soccer tournament in Dubai recently, the beach soccer team will begin the domestic preparatory camp which will take place from Monday until July 18 in Muscat.
The experienced national and long serving beach soccer coach Talib Hilal named 13 members for the upcoming camp in Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex including: Kahlid al Oraimi, Yahya al Oraimi, Mundher al Oraimi, Mashal al Oraimi, Jalal al Sinani, Abdullah al Souti, Nouh al Zadjali, Amjad al Hamdani, Younis al Oauisi, Eid al Farsi, Hamood al Touqi, Said al Farsi and Salim al Oraimi.
Many faces have the right technical expertise as they had attended in some editions of Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup Russia including Yahya al Oraimi and Jalal al Sinani.
The local training camp of 14 days will be followed with an overseas camp in Ukraine which will take place on July 20 to 26 ahead of the Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup Russia 2021.
The camp will feature participation in an international beach soccer tournament.
Coach Talib Hilal’s men concluded recently their participation at the International beach soccer tournament in Dubai on June 26 and the Sultanate team ended the event as runner up.
The national team suffered two defeats in the first two matches in the tournament against Senegal 3-2 and UAE 2-1. Then, the Sultanate beach soccer team bounced back and registered a 5-6 win over Senegal and a 6-7 triumph in penalties against UAE.
Oman men's beach soccer team will be looking for a different show with an aim of advancing to the next round in the fourth attendance at Beach Soccer World Cup.
The Sultanate’s beach soccer team had participated in Beach Soccer World Cup in Ravenna city in Italy in 2011 and in Portugal in 2015. The third participation of the team was at the Beach Soccer World Cup in Paraguay in December 2019.
