

His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al Said, the Sultanate’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, affirmed that the Omani-Saudi relations are firm and the brotherly relations that are characterized by many common interests and mutual respect.
In a statement, the ambassador that the distinguished relations between the two brotherly countries are clearly reflected at the various social and commercial levels, which will enhance cultural, social and economic relations.
He added that Oman Vision 2040 and Saudi Vision 2030 converge in many programs, in addition to exchanging experiences and expertise between the two countries, taking into account the circumstances and privacy of each country.
He pointed out that the economies of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries are generally similar and government agencies in member states work according to them to achieve economic integration.
Regarding Saudi investments in the Sultanate, Sayyid Faisal said that these investments actually exist and the businessmen in the two countries are trying to raise the level of trade exchanges.
He said, “There is a desire among the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to further enhance investments in the Sultanate following restructuring of the state, administrative apparatus, improvement of the business environment, which include facilities to support and stimulate the national economy.
Regarding the road linking the Sultanate with Saudi Arabia, Sayyid Faisal said that the work is underway and is in its final stages, and hoped that the border will be opened in the near future. He said that the concerned authorities in the two countries are making efforts in this regard.
The ambassador also spoke on the continuous attempts to bring all parties closer together on the Yemeni issue.
