SOHAR: Dr Ahmed Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health on Tuesday visited Sohar Hospital in the Governorate of North Al Batinah to inspect work progress and efforts of health workers in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic.
During the visit, the minister met a number of referrals and medical cadres working in the immunization clinics and listened to their suggestions to improve the services provided in the hospital.
Al Saeedi also met the medical and administrative staff of the hospital, and praised them for their great efforts that have been made in dealing with the pandemic. He expressed his concern about the exhaustion of the medical staff during the recent period.
The minister was briefed on the expansion project of Sohar Hospital, which is designated to receive Covid-19 patients to relieve the pressure on the hospital.
The expansion project at Sohar Hospital will start receiving about thirty Covid-19 patients during an initial stage staring next few days. -- ONA
