For entrepreneur Mohammed al Batrani, it’s not only about honing his skills for his craft which he inherited from his father but growing the business and rightfully so, as he was able to create a full factory for his company.

Specializing in traditional carpentry, Al Batrani just used to accompany his father in their old carpentry shop. This frequent visit led him to learning wood engraving, how to properly make windows and doors, and develop business acumen and customer service.

Upon the death of his father, Al Batrani said that he has to step up to the plate at a young age taking over the company’s operation. With hands on business and with the skills he learned about carpentry, he was able to acquire modern machines and equipment that led to the growth of the business.

With a strong mindset to grow, Al Batrani has conducted different studies to further the success of the business. He consulted experienced people to know the difficulties and challenges. Later, he was able to provide capital to import devices and raw materials from inside and outside the Sultanate, and provided machines, devices and manpower.

Mohammed bin Khamis confirmed that Al Batrani was able to keep pace with modern developments to get out of the traditional manufacturing circle to modern manufacturing, indicating that ambition does not stop at a certain limit, as he was able to open other branches to expand his institution.

Khamis said that he markets through social media, in addition to participating in internal and external exhibitions, some of them through the branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Wilayat of Nizwa in the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.

He also clarified that he seeks to increase the Omanisation rate in his organization, pointing out that this success was not born today, but after going through multiple experiences and having courses in entrepreneurship and mentoring programs inside and outside the Sultanate. He urges young people to start working in small projects and then gradually they will develop their skills and expand their businesses. He aspires to establish an international factory with a global brand of his own.
