Japanese envoy fetes winners of essay competition

The Embassy of Japan in the Sultanate recently received the two Omani winners of the Oman-Japan Essay Contest organised by the Embassy.


During the meeting held in accordance with Covid-19 precautions, Kobayashi Toshinori, Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate, listened to the inspirations behind the winning essays and appreciated the affection of the winners towards Japan.


The Arabic language essay competition, on the theme, ‘Oman-Japan relations’, received a large number of entries in the categories for children and adults. Lubaba al Salami and Mariya al Hooti were announced as winners


Ambassador Kobayashi, impressed by the level of vivid writings of Omanis, said that the first-ever Oman-Japan Essay Contest was a huge success. He thanked all the participants for their enthusiasm and willingness to learn more about Japan and showed his confidence that Japan-Oman bilateral relations would further enhance in the future.
