The number of transactions handled by the ‘Invest Easy’ portal of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) during 2020 totalled 566,020, representing a 5.6 per cent increase over the 2019 tally of 537,759 transactions.
Applications were routed through the ministry’s front offices (27,395 transactions), its departments in various directorates (213,562), self-service facilities (122,522), the free zones at Sohar, Duqm and Al Mazyona (4858), legal offices (1,292) and Sanad offices (196,391) across the Sultanate.
