Duqm to see tourism boom in three years

The projects that are being implemented in the Special Economic Zone at Duqm will contribute to the recovery of the hotel sector in the region, said Maher Bahsoun, general manager of Crowne Plaza Hotel Duqm

He said that Duqm will witness a greater tourism boom during the next three years in conjunction with the implementation of several tourism projects, which will be also supported by the availability of good infrastructure and natural factors that encourage investment.

In a statement to the Oman News Agency, he said that the occupancy rate at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Duqm since the start of the Corona pandemic (Covid 19) until now has reached an average of 75 percent, which is higher than the occupancy rates recorded in other hotels outside the Special Economic Zone at Duqm
