MUSCAT: The Sultanate took part in the extraordinary meeting of the Supreme Council of the Arab Board of Health Specializations (ABHS).
Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health, headed the meeting in his capacity as Chairman of the Supreme Council of the ABHS.
Held via videoconferencing, the meeting discussed a proposal by the Technical Secretariat of the Arab Health Ministers Council about mechanisms of administrative and financial auditing of the ABHS. The proposal comes in implementation of Decision No 4, which emanated from the 55th ordinary session of Arab Health Ministers Board last May.
Decision No 4 underscored the importance of supporting the ABHS, which is considered the administrative and supervisory authority that is responsible for planning, organization and monitoring of the Arab council. -- ONA
