Muscat: The second round of the political consultations between the Sultanate and the Kingdom of Norway was held on Monday via video conferencing.
The session was chaired from the Omani side by Shaikh Khalifa Ali al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, while Vebjorn Dysvik, Director General of Department for Regional Affairs chaired the Norwegian side.
The two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries as they stressed their keenness to continue promoting them in various spheres. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
The session was attended by Yousef Said al Amri, the Sultanate’s non-resident ambassador to Norway, Oyvind Stokke, Norwegian non-resident ambassador to Oman, and a number of officials at the foreign ministries of the two countries. --ONA
