Muscat: The Sultanate's embassy in India on Sunday said that the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a circular on extending visas for foreigners stranded in India due to the pandemic until August 31, 2021.

The embassy clarified that Omani citizens in India whose visas have expired do not need to submit an application to renew residence until that date, but rather submit an application for an exit permit from India upon departure without paying any fees or fines.
